The L´Aigle town
is the capital of the Pays d'Ouche, 10 000 habitants
live in its
District, it is situated in the Risle Valley.
History tells that in the XI Century Fulbert
de Beina, first Lord of L´Aigle discovered
an eagle nest in the village of Becania and had
chosen to establish his fortress on it.
Since this period the Latin word "Aquila"
is written in all the deeds and gave his name
to the town.
